CLS has a comprehensive delivery system not limited to a single labeling
process. It's not unusual for CLS to be utilizing heat transfer
technology on one line, applying water slide decals on another, and
still have two applied ceramic labeling lines running simultaneously.
Also, in another part of the plant, we can be drilling gallon beverage
tappers while applying pressure sensitive labels to various beer and soda bottles.

Applied Ceramic Labeling (ACL)
- • utilizes a decorating machine which silk-screens a ceramic paint onto the container
- • cured in an oven called a 'lehr'
- • the ceramic paint is literally fused into the glass
- • produces a very high quality, durable, and attractive label
- • CLS has multiple ACL decorating machines
- • precious metals are available utilizing this process
Organic Decorating
- • utilizes a decorating machine which silk-screens an organic paint onto the container
- • the containers are cured in the lehr
- • the organic paint is cured into the glass
- • a wider array of colors is available with this process
Pressure Sensitive Labeling (PSL)
- • utilizes a high-speed machine which automatically applies labels mounted on a continuous roll
- • labels are backed with an adhesive which adheres to the glass upon application of pressure
- • very detailed graphics capability with the appearance of ACL
- • CLS has 2 PSL labeling machines
Heat Transfer Labeling (HTL)
- • an adhesion chemical called Silane is applied
- • the containers are preheated to 250 degrees
- • the labels are automatically machine-applied
- • the containers are cured in the lehr
- • provides a very durable label with excellent adhesion with all the advantages of the other high-quality labeled products
- • CLS has 2 Heat Transfer labeling machines
- • this process is designed only for large quantity runs
Water Slide Decaling
- • utilizes a pre-printed decal
- • decals are hand-applied
- • the containers are cured in the lehr
- • the label is fused onto the glass
- • produces a high-quality, durable and attractive finish
- • no color-quantity limitation
- • especially useful for odd-shaped containers and/or smaller specialty runs
Rub-On Transfer Labeling
- • utilizes a pre-printed label
- • labels are hand-applied
- • provides great durability and adhesion
- • offers a wider range of color choices
- • especially useful for odd-shaped containers and/or smaller specialty runs
Acid Etching
- • fully automated production line
- • line speeds up to 125 bottles per minute
- • glass is etched in a continuous motion to achieve high speed
- • bottles are pre dipped for cleaning then etched, rinsed and dried
